Jesus
was not inspired like the prophets. HE WAS THE MESSAGE HIMSELF, not
just a messenger. HE had inspired the prophets and their message was
about Him. The prophets said ‘Thus says the Lord’, but Jesus said
‘I say to you’. HE was and is the Lord! He did not come to found
a new religion. Christianity is Christ. His ‘religion’ is simply
‘Love me. Follow me’. Paul, the great-minded and great-hearted
apostle used to be a great religionist. His daily task was to fulfil
all the rules and regulations of the religious system of the
Pharisees based on the laws of Moses. But when he met Jesus he found
rest. He said ‘For me to live is Christ.’ His life was the joy of
walking with Jesus. Doctrine is important, but we are not judged by
what doctrines we have accepted, but whether we have accepted Jesus
into our lives. God bless you.
